Redesign of the Symphony of Art Festival

Symphony of Arts is a multi-genre arts festival with a focus on classical music and its related genres. It has set itself the task of democratizing, or making the arts accessible to a wider target audience. It promotes cross-border cooperation, European cultural dialogue and cultural diversity.

Client's task

Create a new visual identity with an emphasis on multi-genre. The visual identity should be sufficiently distinctive and be usable and developable in the long term.

Generations Solution

A good festival design must be aesthetically appealing and well thought out. It’s not just about the idea, but the solution. A solution that will last for years and will be reflected in all manifestations of the festival’s communication. The festival presents itself in three main ways:

  • The program itself – festival events, branding at the venue, PR and interviews with artists, authors, celebrities, back stage, party, merchandising, etc.
  • Online communication – communication of the programme, web presentation and ticket purchase, social networks – communication of everything about the festival.
  • And thirdly, it’s offline communication. Visual elements everywhere have to look inviting, modern and at the same time, complement the unique program and create the impression that I want and need to be there.

The basis of the redesign is a simple modern font, working with the styling of the photographs and the colour scheme – these form the identity, the overall aesthetic and create the atmosphere. It is the colour scheme that is meant to work simultaneously and also reflect the multi-genre nature of the festival and its programmatic layering.

When redesigning, it was important to understand the tastes and preferences of potential visitors and adapt the design to their expectations. But also to inspire young audiences and irregular visitors to come and create something attractive and aspirational for them.
