DPOH

Open branding of the theatre with a clear point of view and specific dramaturgy.

Client's task

Design a new branding for the theatre with a clear vision, specific dramaturgy and sensitive historical context that is both functional for internal communication and sufficiently distinctive externally.

Inspiration: theatre as dialogue

Theatre is not just a space. It is a theme, a time and a context. It is both the creative team and the audience, the content and the form, the questions and the answers.
From this thinking emerged the concept of a brand built on punctuation – an elementary tool of language that asserts, questions and expresses opinion and emotion.

.?!

The basic visual identity is based on a trio of punctuation marks:

  • Dot (.) – as a fact, a statement, a statement of fact.
  • Question mark (?) – as a doubt, a challenge to interpretation.
  • Exclamation mark (!) – as an emotional reaction, appeal, energy.

Application examples:

  • PRINCE. KILLER? PRESIDENT! (production about J. Tiso)
  • SYNOVIA. CATS? ZOMBIES! (a production about toxic masculinity)

Branding thus allows the essence of individual productions to be clearly communicated, while retaining its visual consistency and interpretive depth.

Generations Solution

Branding that lives with theatre

Functional in everyday communication

  • Applied in prints, social media, online campaigns and citylights.

Open to artistic overlaps

  • Visible in projects such as the White Night or the 17 November concert, where the brand acts as a cultural dialogue.

Both respectful and courageous

  • It doesn’t close itself off from topics. On the contrary, it opens them up and creates a framework for their public articulation.

Conclusion

DPOH’s new branding doesn’t build walls – it asks questions, answers and leaves an exclamation mark.
It is a communication tool that carries content, doesn’t hide behind form and allows theatre to remain what it is: a vibrant, open, relevant space for art and social discourse.
